Climbing out of depression may seem overwhelming, but do not give up! Your life has a purpose and your happiness is worth fighting for.  You may fall, but get up, dust off your shoes, and walk with steadfast determination.

Refuse to succumb to the crippling effects of disappointment by accepting that things may not always work out the way you want them to. When things do not work out in your favour – seek solutions.

In the face of difficult times, pray and ask the Creator for guidance. The answers to your questions can be found through prayer. Protect your heart from bitterness when you cannot accept the Creator’s sovereign plan over your own.

When your climbing out of depression, in place of bitterness or self-pity, embrace forgiveness. Letting go of the hurt is the only way you can have a chance to live. forgive yourself for your shortcomings and focus on your strengths. Forgive others for their role in contributing to any negative circumstances that you have experienced.

To keep loneliness far away, surround yourself with people who care about you. Having others rally around you is a source of comfort and strength. When you know you’re not alone, have the courage to stand up to depression.

The support of my friends and family is your lifeline. The unconditional love of those close to you can help as you would appreciate that there is more to life.

Today, say to yourself “I choose life! I choose to embrace the healing love being offered to me so I may live a life filled with joy and purpose”.

  2. Who can I lean on during difficult times?
  3. What do I need to let go of and forgive myself for?
